• Proposed Regulation Changes for Lake Trout on Lake George

  Update as of 6/30/09: The proposed regulation change is not moving forward. There will be no change in Lake Trout regulations on Lake George at this time.
  
  A regulation change has been submitted by DEC Region 5 Fisheries for Lake George for 2010. The regulation change would reduce the minimum limit on Lake George Lake Trout to the statewide minimum length of 21 inches.

  The proposed regulations are posted online. Click here to go to the DEC's webpage.  You can read the proposed regulation change and rationale, and submit a comment online directly to DEC. Comments are being accepted until April 10th. To submit a comment to DEC, click here.

  The public meeting on the proposed lake trout regulation change was held on March 10th at DEC in Warrensburg.  Emily Zollweg and Bill Schoch gave presentations, which they have shared with us to post online. If you didn’t make the meeting, you check out the presentations here.
