Fishing Clinic For Kids

Holiday Inn - Turf At Lake George
The Lake George Fishing Alliance is offering a FREE evening fishing clinic
for children 8 years of age and up. Alliance members including fishing
guides, DEC law enforcement officers, and dedicated fishermen will be
teaching children the basics of fishing. Children will be placed in groups
that will rotate through a variety of stations teaching the basic principles
of fishing subjects such as casting, knot tying, bait or lure selection,
rigging, techniques used to catch varied fish species, catch and release
methods, fishing regulations and how to recognize different species. Rods
and reels will be available for use, as will a variety of fishing tackle.
Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Thanks to the Holliday Inn - Turf at Lake George for the room,
FISH307.com for supplying rods and reels for the evening event and the
many people wanting to pass their knowledge on to the next generation, there
will be no charge. All will be welcome and no reservations are necessary.
